American Refugee Committee is currently looking for employees and volunteers for short and long term assignments

Rapid Response Coordinator

Responsibilities: The Rapid Response Coordinator has overall responsibility for all humanitarian response activities during and in immediate post emergency phases. Represent ARC in the field and coordinate with ARC headquarters on intervention plans and oversee implementation of programming.

Qualifications: Overseas experience in developing countries and in managerial positions. Humanitarian/complex emergency response experience in conflict/post conflict settings.



Health Coordinator – Complex Emergency

Responsibilities: Oversee health interventions in program start up. Coordinate and implement emergency health interventions as needed.

Qualifications: Public Health specialist, or MD, RN or MPH. Overseas experience implementing and developing health programs in emergency environments with limited/degraded local resources and infrastructure in insecure environments.



Health Positions – General

Responsibilities: Assist with identified health interventions.

Qualifications: Health professionals with emergency response experience.



Shelter/Construction Engineer

Responsibilities: Develop, plan and coordinate emergency shelter activities in Haiti. Initiate the logistical pipeline for supply, transport and assembly of shelter kit materials

Qualifications: Experience in implementing shelter programs in emergency or rural environments.



Logistics/Operations Coordinator

Responsibilities: Establish and maintain logistics procedures and systems

Qualifications: Field experience in complex emergency environments



Water & Sanitation Coordinator

Responsibilities: Design and construct appropriate water supply and sanitation infrastructures – Collaborate, plan and negotiate with government officials to fulfill water and sanitation needs.

Qualifications: Experience in managing and implementing Water and Sanitation programs in rural and remote environments
