Request for Proposals – Virginia Center for Healthy Small Business

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit sealed proposals to establish a contract through competitive negotiation for the purchase of services needed to establish and operate the Virginia Center for Healthy Small Business.


The Virginia Center for Healthy Small Business (Center) will support the Virginia Healthy Small Business Initiative by educating small businesses about the value of health coverage and employee wellness and providing them with the support services needed to make informed decisions about employee coverage. The Center will help Virginia small employers to view employee wellness and employee health coverage as potential investments in employee productivity and business profitability. The Center will also stimulate, cultivate and disseminate innovative models of health coverage and wellness throughout the small business community.

· Click on “Go to all Solicitations & Awards” and search by either RFP No. VDH-2011-00516 or

· Click on “Advanced Search”

· Do a key word search for VCHSB



The closing date for the solicitation is July 19, 2011. There is a mandatory pre-proposal conference call on 6/21/11. If you intend to participate, please send an email to Kathy.Wibberly@vdh.virginia.gov with your name, name of organization, contact information (telephone and email address) and include “Preproposal Conference Call” in the Subject Line, and “cc” Bev.Oden@vdh.virginia.gov on or before June 17, 2011.
