Refreshingly Personal Perspectives on Health Disparities

ETR Associates is proud to present free downloads of 5 groundbreaking books that focus on health disparities in different communities: Blacks in America, Latinos, Asian Americans, American Indians and Alaska Natives, and Pacific Islanders.

Each book features profiles and interviews with health leaders who are members of those communities. Among them: David Satcher, MD, PhD, 16th surgeon general of the United States; Mohammad N. Akhter, MD, MPH, former executive director of the American Public Health Association;Linda Burhansstipanov, MSPH, DrPH, CHES, executive director and president of Native American Cancer Initiatives; Puaalaoklani D. Aiu, PhD, policy analyst with the Office of Hawaiian Affairs; Helen Rodriguez-Trias, MD, recipient of the Presidential Citizens Medal and former president of the American Public Health Association; and Michael Bird, MSW, MPH, first American Indian president of the American Public Health Association.
