The Office of Minority Health and Public Health Policy will be conducting a half-day continuing education seminar on health equity on June 18 from 9 am to 1 pm at VCU. The VCU-sponsored seminar will provide an overview of the health equity framework, review and engage students in a discussion using the "Unnatural Causes" video, and provide an overview of cultural competency/humility and the community-based participatory approach to promoting health equity. Speakers for the seminar will be Dr. Michael Royster, Karen Reed and Susan Triggs.
