What’s New:
National Rural Health Day Website – Okay, so technically the website isn’t new … but please be sure to check it out and share the link with everyone if you haven’t done so already! We have added several additional “community success stories” and will continue to do so in the days and weeks to come, so visit often. We’ve also added a few resources that we know you’ve been waiting for:
A Media Release Template that you can use to announce National Rural Health Day at the local/state level and share the good work you are doing to enhance rural health! The release includes suggestions for places to insert information about your organization throughout the release.
A Button/Magnet Order Form which you can download and submit to order for your celebration.
What’s Coming:
“Community Support” Letters – We are in the process of crafting letters that rural/critical access hospitals, local chambers of commerce and city/town councils can sign and submit to legislators and/or media outlets expressing their support for National Rural Health Day and the importance of supporting rural health programs. More information will be available on those letters in next week’s update.
T-shirt/Scrubs Order Form – Many folks have indicated a desire to order T-shirts that can be worn on National Rural Health Day. We’ve been looking into that and hope to have a form for ordering those available very soon.
What We Could Use from You:
Share Your Celebration Plans – As you are making your plans, PLEASE take a moment to fill in this Google Doc and share those plans with us. We want to know what everyone is doing to celebrate National Rural Health Day!
