NATIONAL MINORITY HEALTH MONTH

April is National Minority Health Month. This year’s theme,Health Equity Can’t Wait. Act Now in Your CommUNITY!, is a call to action and unity for the regions, the state and local offices of minority health, the health departments and all the organizations and partners involved and invested in reducing health disparities.

April 2012 marks the first anniversary of the launch of the HHS Action Plan to Reduce Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities and the National Stakeholder Strategy for Achieving Health Equity.

To celebrate this anniversary, let’s highlight the work of our communities:

Saturday, April 21, 2012 - Health Equity Day of Action
