Telehealth Shows Success, ROI


Telehealth is only in its early stages – do we have evidence yet that it works?  PHI’s Center for Innovation and Technology in Public Health reviews three “early adopters” of telehealth technologies and answers a resounding yes. One site studied, The Connected Cardiac Care Program at Partners HealthCare in Boston, has seen hospital readmission rates for heart failure drop by 50 percent and generated total cost savings of more than $10 million since 2006.
